We have spent over two decades here at Agiña delivering the finest piparra peppers from Gipuzkoa to your table. Mild, with a tender and fresh bite to them, our piparra peppers unmistakeably reflect the hard work that begins out in the field. We grow our piparra peppers sustainably and organically just 5 kilometres from our bottling plant in Usurbil, guaranteeing full traceability of our produce. A commitment to the quality of our ingredients is the essential basis for our working philosophy.

As well as using our own ingredients, at Agiña we take painstaking care of the process of producing and bottling our piparra peppers. More than 20 years spent producing Basque peppers have allowed us to define our own character in the production process. As well as sowing and harvesting our peppers, at Agiña we also believe in our own, high-quality traditional maceration.

ORGANIC PIPARRA PEPPERS

Our commitment to sustainable, organic farming is the essential inspiration behind our working philosophy in producing peppers from our own fields. We take care of our land, avoiding intensive agriculture, constantly rotating the areas where we sow our peppers, and avoiding the use of fertilisers, pesticides or other chemical derivatives that do not respect the natural environment.

When growing organic produce like our piparra peppers, a commitment to product traceability is essential. At Agiña we sow, harvest and macerate our own piparra peppers in organic vinegar, giving them their unique flavour and superior quality.

Our organic produce comes from a way of understanding the relationship between our work and respect for the surrounding environment. We believe in sustainable, organic farming to grow peppers of superior quality. We are the first company in the Basque Country to have a retail product with this dual accreditation: Eusko Label and Organic Farming.
